This fabric is designed to provide superior comfort and durable waterproof protection in a wide range of outdoor activities
GORE-TEX® membrane technology is specifically engineered to form an impenetrable barrier against wind and water while maintaining breathability
Durably waterproof
The GORE-TEX membrane (ePTFE = expanded Polythetrafluorethylene) has a microporous structure and contains over 1.4 billion microscopic pores per square centimetre
Its pores are 20,000 time smaller than a water droplet, so water cannot penetrate the membrane
All GORE-TEX products are durably waterproof and therefore offer reliable protection for the entire lifetime of the product
Breathable
The pores of the GORE-TEX membrane are 700 times larger than a water vapour molecule.
This allows perspiration and heat to escape from the inside while the garment remains waterproof on the outside. No heat accumulates.
Performance stays at its best, and so does concentration. There is a balance between the amount of heat produced and the amount of heat released.
Windproof
The GORE-TEX membrane is also completely windproof thanks to it’s structure
This prevents cold air from penetrating the clothing and drawing valuable heat away from the body
The GORE-TEX membrane is inserted between the high-quality outer material and the lining to produce the GORE-TEX laminate, which is then used in the manufacture of Sprayway clothing
