Wolverine Leathers
Wolverine invented Shag in the 1950’s; the original pigskin nubuck leather.
Built to last with water, oil, stain and chelmical repellency. These leathers have a softer handle/nap and take colour well.
Whilst pigskin hides have a thinner substance (thickness) compared to bovine (cow or buffalo) leathers, pigskin has a higher tensile strength
Meaning that despite being thinner they hides are comparitively just as strong.
Wolverine leathers are made without metal, chrome, aldehydes, salt, inorganic acids or vegetables and are hypoallergenic, pigskin has a lower environmental
impact than other chrome tanned leathers.
HydroDRY® PRO is a 4 layer fabric consisting of wicking abrasion resistance lining, protective open cell foam, non-porous membrane and protective tricot
These layers are flame laminated together (to reduce glue usage which can impede breathability) to create the 4 layer fabric
Breathability MVT* test method EN ISO 20345 of 35.2mg/cm².
The fabric is constructed into a fully taped bootie on the inside of the product
Foams, backers and materials used in internal construction are non-wicking.
The leather has a Durable Water Repellent finish to help prevent it absorbing water (which would make the product heavier, feel colder).
EVA (Ethylene-vinyl acetate) a synthetic polymer known for it’s superior cushioning.
It is a lightweight polymer which still maintains excellent shock absorption
Due to it’s lower density structure, EVA can compress over time which means it will start providing less support after significant wear
Vibram XS Trek, rubber compound with; optimal balance of traction and durability responsive on unpredictable terrain engineered for stability and comfort.
OrthoLite is the leading manufacturer of insoles for the world’s leading footwear brands
Unlike traditional insoles, the compression set of these insoles is less than 5% over time so the cushioning never really changes inside the shoes, providing maximum comfort every time you put your them on
OrthoLite’s open-cell PU foam is 95% to 100% breathable, allowing air to circulate in and around the insole, keeping the foot cooler inside the shoe.
This open-cell structure also creates a moisture management system, helping to move moisture away from the foot to provide a cooler, drier, healthier shoe environment
Insoles are machine washable, while maintaining all of their performance benefits after washing
An eco-friendly 5% recycled rubber content which is the source of the signature black specks
Technical spec. on Ortholite insole : density = 0.16g/cm³, hardness = 25°+/-4° Asker C, heel 6mm forefoot 4mm
