Alpine Fit: a fit block maps the 3-dimensional shape of the body as closely as possible, eradicating unnecessary bulk and weight whilst keeping you protected through a full range of motion
The Alpine Fit features fully balanced shoulder patterns, reversed camber centre front zip seams and pre-shaped arms
Purpose built as the definitive all-round mountain block; designed to be close-fitting yet still able to accommodate a full quota of under layering garments
Cut and graded for those who prefer a slightly closer fitting Hardshell, its key innovation lies in the shaping it affords between waist and shoulders
To help eradicate ‘bagging’ when leant over, our Alpine Fit features a reversed camber centre front seam which unlike a straight seam naturally pulls the front half of the jacket in around the body
This has been combined with a shoulder block, which effectively re-balances the distribution of fabric between the front chest, rear shoulder and bicep
The Alpine Fit provides greater comfort whilst retaining its slightly closer fitting form through a wider range of movement
Mountain HC Hood: Engineered around a twin-hoop adjustment principle to control cranium and facial volume
The cranium ‘hoop’ ensuring that hood volume is controlled at the widest and most efficient point of the head and the other ‘hoop’ controlling facial volume
Crucially this facial ‘hoop’ is secured at the temple on either side of the head and is not fully circular
This prevents hood distortion across the fore-head, controls peak angle and improves hood stability
Other adjustment methods exist, but none provide the same range of adjustment that these systems combined can, ensuring our hoods will fit better with or without a climbing helmet
With a triple-layered, laminated and wired visor construction, engineered to retain its form and function better in the most difficult conditions.
Hidden behind the clean lines of its exterior face lies its real secret
- a concealed inner film protecting a malleable stiffening wire that is attached directly into the front seam edge using their own manufacturing process to create their acclaimed visor
– one which forms a naturally strong arc when under tension and yet doesn’t flatten in violent winds to offer unhindered front and peripheral vision
