The ski is also built with a Light Woodcore and Cap Sidewall for solid edge grip.

Side Edge Angle:
Precisely tuned edges are an important part of ski performance.
A blunt edge cannot penetrate the snow surface and slides through a turn.
An edge that is too sharp digs into the snow surface and makes for an unstable ride.
Atomic alpine skis are groomed with a side edge angle of 87.0° for more intuitive handling, easier skiing and better grip on hard snow and ice.
Base Edge Angle:
All skis from the Atomic factory are delivered with steel edges that have been carefully machined with a precise 1.0° base edge bevel that lightly lifts the ski edge off the snow for easy turning while providing great edge grip and aggressive tracking throughout the turn.
