Walk Sole ISO 23223. TYPE A

GripWalk is a sole/binding system that makes walking in ski boots significantly more comfortable, while also reducing the chance of slipping

Yet the GripWalk system also guarantees outstanding on-snow performance

- A high-profiled slip-resistant sole leads to outstanding grip for walking

- Simply step-in: Bindings with GripWalk Logo need NO height adjustment, even when used with regular alpine boots and soles

- Increased walking comfort and improved natural roll thanks to curved rubber sole

- Standing on a flat surface, GripWalk soles make the stance geometry more upright and more comfortable

- In a GripWalk binding, a GripWalk boot regains Atomic’s athletic stance

With Memory Fit all three elements of the boot adapt to the foot – shell, cuff and liner – and memorise the entire footshape

Expansion can be up to 6mm in total forefoot width and up 10mm in total ankle width

The result is a permanent and complete anatomical fit.

Just choose the bigger half size boot and adjust it down

All Atomic liners feature an Asymmetric Liner Construction (ASY) with an asymmetric tongue, toe box, collar shape and high-quality lining materials

It’s the most anatomical construction on the market, and the best for supporting your feet while skiing

The Hawx range features the special Memory Fit 3D liner

This includes pre-shaped heel and ankle areas for an even better first fit and no hotspots – even after a hard day on the mountain

Have your feet measured by a Ski Boot Fitter at BAC

In general people should not select a boot with a last width that is narrower than their foot

The closer the last width is to their measured foot width, the snugger and tighter the boot will feel (more performance but less comfort, less warmth)

This means that people who have a medium width foot can either ski in a 98mm lasted boot or a 100mm lasted boot depending on what their performance vs comfort expectations are

In general, going too tight causes problems in regards to warmth and comfort

Going too wide causes problems of lack of control and potential discomfort due to the foot moving around inside the boot

Ultimately, length and width are only two components of how a boot should fit

Other points to consider are for example instep height, heel hold, the fit around the calf, and general impressions of comfort and foot hold
