Outdoor Learning is hugely beneficial to all who take part. This experiential style of learning helps participants to build on their personal and social skills and bolster their confidence.
Our slogan at Add-Venture is, ‘Realising Personal Potential’ because our team and our activities will help you do just that. The benefits are just as powerful for young people at school as they are for fully grown adults in the workplace.
Our customers are a diverse bunch. They can range from business and universities to schools, councils and the Scouts.
Physical ability should not be a barrier. Our activities are designed to be as inclusive as possible. If some of your team members are not as physically able, we can tailor our programmes to take this into account.
Schools and Young People:
The work we provide can greatly benefit schools. But don’t just take our word for it. See what educational experts have said:
We are convinced that out-of-classroom education enriches the curriculum and can improve educational attainment
House of Commons Education and Skills Report – Education Outside the Classroom – January 2005
Outdoor activities…enable pupils to enjoy challenging and unfamiliar experiences that test and develop their physical, social and personal skills
David Bell – Her Majesty’s Chief Inspector, September 2004
The government has recognized the importance of outdoor education (learning outside the classroom) to help people of all ages develop personal and social skills.
Corporate training and hospitality events:
Recently, there has been a move towards personal development and social responsibility. Our training and corporate events help to develop staff to become better leaders, better followers and better team members. Since most of the training is in an informal outdoor setting, much of the politics of hierarchy falls away. Staff are allowed to shine in their own light, irrespective of their place in the company.
Our training engenders trust, self belief and an appreciation of others.
