Nubuck Leather
High-quality leather, which has been buffed on the grain side to give the surface an extremely fine, velvety, even texture. Very robust and relatively expensive.
Cordura® Nylon
A brand name for synthetic fibres from Invista / Dupont.  HANWAG uses a lightweight, highly tear and abrasion resistant weave from texturised Cordura® Polyamide 6.6 HT fibres.
At Hanwag Cemented Construction is used to make all adult shoes that are not double-stitched in the traditional manner. This sophisticated and time-consuming technique involves the shoemaker pulling the shaft over the last and downwards over the insole and affixing this to create a unit. The midsole and outsole are then applied. The key advantages of cemented shoes are that they keep their shape and last a long time if cared for properly. They’re probably the only manufacturer worldwide that cements all its low-cut shoes. The cementing technique is time-consuming to produce, making the footwear slightly more expensive.
